RightChain has been slotting warehouses for 30+ years. It started in 1990 with Dr. Frazelle's award wining slotting optimization algorithms used to maximize picking productivity, storage density, and picking accuracy in major distribution centers at Avon, Baxter, Honda, LL Bean, and Texas Instruments. Those same algorithms have been enhanced continuously and have moved from PC desktop implementations to the current SLOTTING AS A SERVICE model offered as a CloudAI platform and/or as an API call by WMS or ERP. For pallets, cases, and eaches, the functionality includes storage mode optimization and justification; space and lane allocation optimization; slot location optimization; cost minimization; demand correlation; and re-slot optimization.
